Fullword Church is a Bible believing/evangelical Church; growing, vibrant, creative with the goal to relevant in serving God and people. Our Church is growing dynamically with over 10 nations in membership. Our Yoruba Church, in particular, needs a strong music team to support its worship experience. We are looking to recruit an experienced music director who is able to play

and teach lead African music and instruments such as Sekere and gangan to join our expanding team here at Fullword Church for the Nations. The applicant must have at least 5 years’ work experience in a similar role within a Pentecostal Christian organization.

• General Responsibilities:

  
  

  
  

  · To work with the music department of the Church under the leadership of the Minister in charge of music.

  · To assist with the management of equipment, instruments and music.

  · To attend staff meetings, worship meetings, and special worship planning sessions throughout the year

  · Provide musical arrangements and lead the Choir for weekly rehearsals and Sunday services as needed.

  · Develop and maintain cooperation with the pastor, staff, and worship team leaders in designing worship and music choices.

  · To train and mentor young adults and young children in music especially playing instrument proficiently.

  · Seek to improve on the music delivery by creatively developing concepts.

  · Support the development of new musical groups, as appropriate.

  · Serve as a resource to church staff and committee leaders, as necessary.

  · To engage in outreach with other workers and ministers as required from time to time with a view to reaching our community with the message of hope.

  
  

• Minimum qualifications:

  
  

  · The candidate must be a Christian with Pentecostal background.

  . Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively connect with congregation members

  . Ability to lead worship services, including leading choir praise and worship sessions (dance experience is not required).

  . A deep understanding of biblical principles and a commitment to living out those principles in daily life.

  . Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to work well within a team environment

  · Must have 5 years’ experience and skills working as a church Music director or similar capacity.

  · Understands music with particular emphasis on traditional and contemporary Christian music.

  · Must be self -motivated, takes initiative, has creative skills and able to work well with others.

  · Able to speak, read & write Yoruba is also desirable.

  
  

  TERMS OF APPOINTMENT:

  There is a probation period of six months.

  Salary: £24,000 - £26,000.00 per year
